After several years of resuming the project, we decided to focus more on the quality of the software released rather than the quantity.
Thus, we felt the need to communicate important news to our users about the release cycle of our software, as we currently rely on many GNU/Linux operating systems, such as Linux Mint, PCLinuxOS, Debian, and Devuan, but something will change in the next releases.
We are simultaneously recreating the Lorena 5.2 release due to some changes or oversights, the usual ones, by the core team, which we always try to fix... but ugh... this is horrible and stressful... very much so!
At this point, starting with the next end-of-life of Lorena and our other releases, we've decided to port, support, and use only a few of the distributions we rely on. So, no more PCLinuxOS, no more LMDE until the core team decides to prioritize this last branch. Instead, we'll only use Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu) and Devuan, given that 32-bit PCs are no longer supported, but there are still 64-bit powerless machines available.
Which Linux Mint point release will we base our support on? Regardless of whether the Mint team decides on three more point releases or not, from the next ones onward, we'll only consider the first one, as they all have the same end-of-support date.
Which Devuan version will we base our support on? The main LTS point release.
Our goal is to reduce the confusion and number of releases we currently have, while also focusing our efforts on just two operating systems. This allows us more time to help you on the forum, wherever possible, and to continue developing our applications as they are released.
We're confident this approach will benefit both us and our users!
