Continueremo ad apportare migliorie, seppur lievi, e rilasceremo pacchetti software aggiornati ma con minore intensità, per concentrare i nostri sforzi sulle nuove release.

Sebbene con la release 10 Basic abbiamo proseguito e creato uno strumento di upgrade alla versione 10 Plus, con la decisione di estendere notevolmente tale sistema con look and feel simil Windows 10, per la versione Urbino non è previsto nessun upgrade.

I mirror della release Urbino saranno disattivati e rimossi a Marzo 2026, per fare spazio a quelli di altre versioni.

We are sad to announce that the Urbino release (32/64 bit) has reached its end of support, however users of this operating system will still receive security updates until December 31, 2025.

We will continue to make improvements, albeit small, and will release updated software packages but with less intensity, to focus our efforts on new releases.

Although with the 10 Basic release we continued and created an upgrade tool to the 10 Plus version, with the decision to significantly extend this system with a Windows 10-like look and feel, no upgrade is planned for the Urbino version.

The Urbino release mirrors will be deactivated and removed in March 2026, to make room for mirrors of other releases.

Our users can create a backup of their data and choose to install one of our latest versions: 11.x, 10 Plus or the rolling Cagliari.

Da oggi è possibile utilizzare Desktop Teleatico sulle release 10Plus ed 11 mediante questa breve guida:

1. avviate il postinstall e rigenerate la cache dei pacchetti
2. nella casella "cerca" digitate desktoptelematico
3. scegliete di installare l'applicazione
4. digitate la password di amministrazione per autenticare l'installazione ed una volta terminata l'installazione chiudete il Postinstall, avviate il menu start (sul pannello la U in cerchio rossa) e digitate desktoptelematico
5. avvio del programma che scaricherà la versione funzionante per il sistema in uso
6. l'icona di Desktop Telematico verrà creata automaticamente sul vostro desktop
7. avviate l'applicazione
8. create un nuovo utente agendo appunto su "nuovo utente"
9. dopo la creazione dell'utente e della relativa password occorre creare un'area di lavoro agendo su "crea cartella" e "digitare il nome della nuova cartella" (ad es. AreaAdE) e cliccare su OK
10. il nuovo utente è stato creato per cui è possibile ora accedere con le credenziali appena create
11. l'applicazione inizia a fare un controllo degli aggiornamenti ed eventualmente a scaricarne di nuovi

N.B. la creazione dell'utente è a titolo di esempio, le funzionalità successive non sono state testate e richiedono un feedback da parte vostra mediante apertura di una discussione nel forum.

Per il nostro progetto è importante avere quante più risorse tecnologiche possibili, al fine di continuare a rilasciare i nostri aggiornamenti di sistema in modo quanto più rapido possibile.

Tutte le release riceveranno nelle prossime ore alcuni aggiornamenti di sistema che chiediamo ai nostri utenti di applicare per avere maggiore sicurezza e flessibilità in termini di banda di download dei vari aggiornamenti proposti.

Proprio a tal proposito, stiamo lavorando alla release 10 Plus ma chi usa già la versione 10 Basic può effettuare l'upgrade alla 10 Plus, sempre dopo aver effettuato una copia di backup dei dati personali.

Il rilascio di nala sulle release 11.x (32/64 bit) è avvenuto alcuni giorni fà, per mezzo dei nostri ultimi aggiornamenti di sistema, pertanto gli utenti che hanno mantenuto il sistema aggiornato, avranno oltre ad Apt anche Nala.

Naturalmente Nala può essere usato come alternativa, ma è comunque consigliato l'utilizzo ad utenti esperti e che sanno quindi come utilizzarlo o ne conoscono i benefici.

Perchè lo abbiamo introdotto? Tendiamo, in via generale, ad estendere la vita delle nostre release più utilizzate, creando pacchetti di aggiornamento massicci (che scaricano ed installano nell'ordine più di 1 Gb di pacchetti) e non vogliamo annoiare i nostri utenti che hanno hardware poco prestante e che quindi devono restare incollati allo schermo per rispondere alle domande richieste.

Ce ne siamo resi conto con gli ultimi pacchetti di aggiornamento che estenderanno il supporto della release 10 Basic (32/64bit) di altri 3 anni con il salto di versione alla release 10 Plus, attualmente in fase di sviluppo.

Ormai i continui salti di versione, a nostro parere, non possono più essere eseguiti con Apt, il tool nativo usato nelle varie derivate Debian GNU/Linux, ma è preferibile adottare Nala per i suoi tanti vantaggi, tra cui la rapidità rispetto ad Apt con cui esegue download ed installazione di pacchetti.

In che modo lo useremo? Abbiamo quindi pensato di rilasciarlo sulle release 11.x e sulle 10 Plus in modo da poter rilasciare i prossimi pacchetti di upgrade di versione direttamente con i comandi nala, riducendo di fatto le tempistiche necessarie al salto di versione.

Nala was released on 11.x releases (32/64 bit) a few days ago, with our latest system updates, so users who have kept their system up to date will have Nala in addition to Apt.

Of course Nala can be used as an alternative, but it is still recommended for experienced users who know how to use it or know its benefits.

Why did we introduce it? We tend, in general, to extend the life of our most used releases, creating massive update packages (which download and install more than 1 Gb of packages in order) and do not want to bore our users who have low-performance hardware and therefore have to stay glued to the screen to answer the questions asked.

We realized this with the latest update packages that will extend the support of the 10 Basic release (32/64 bit) for another 3 years with the jump in version to the 10 Plus release, currently under development.

By now, in our opinion, continuous version jumps can no longer be performed with Apt, the native tool used in the various Debian GNU/Linux derivatives, but it is preferable to adopt Nala for its many advantages, including the speed with which it performs downloads and installations of packages compared to Apt.

How will we use it? We have therefore decided to release it on the 11.x and 10 Plus releases so that we can release the next version upgrade packages directly with the nala commands, effectively reducing the time needed for the version jump.

Da oggi, mediante i vari pacchetti rilasciati sui nostri repository, è possibile installare le utility per i dispositivi Yubikey Fido2 sulle nostre release.

I dispositivi Yubico insieme a quelli di SwissBit possono quindi essere utilizzati poichè compatibili con sistemi GNU/Linux.

Per farlo potete utilizzare Synaptic, ma prossimamente integreremo i pacchetti in una apposita sezione del Postinstall.

Abbiamo quindi elevato il grado di sicurezza delle nostre release, per tutti coloro che volessero implementare soluzioni di sicurezza in ambito aziendale.

From today, using the various packages released on our repositories, it is possible to install the utilities for the Yubikey Fido2 devices on our releases.

The Yubico devices together with those of SwissBit can therefore be used since they are compatible with GNU/Linux systems.

To do this you can use Synaptic, but soon we will integrate the packages in a special section of the Postinstall.
