LorenzoDM intervista lo sviluppatore senior di Ufficio Zero Linux OS

Da svariati giorni i nostri utenti sanno che, tenendo aggiornato il loro sistema, è stato aggiunto in automatico un altro nostro repository che contiene driver di stampanti e multifunzioni sia sulle Debian based (pacchetti deb) che sulle PCLinuxOS based (pacchetti rpm).

Questo nuovo repository aggiuntivo contiene driver di svariati modelli e marche di stampanti a getto d'inchiostro, laser e multifunzioni per cui l'installazione della propria stampante e la rispettiva gestione avviene con molta più semplicità.

Oggi vi parleremo di come poter utilizzare il repository printers sui vostri sistemi Debian based a 32/64 bit e di una breve procedura guidata che andremo a descrivervi di seguito:

• aprite un terminale ed acquisite la chiave del repository con il comando

  wget -O - https://uzl-deb.ufficiozero.org/repository/ufficiozero-key.gpg | apt-key add -

• diversamente se avete installato in precedenza curl sul vostro sistema, potete invece usare il comando
  

  curl -sS https://uzl-deb.ufficiozero.org/repository/ufficiozero-key.gpg | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/ufficiozero-keyring.gpg

• fatto questo, avete appena importato la chiave per l'utilizzo del repository ma occorre adesso aggiungere il repository per cui spostatevi nella cartella con il comando
  

  cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

• ed adesso create il file denominato printers.list con il comando

  sudo touch printers.list

• ed editatelo inserendo le informazioni con nano, vi o il vostro editor preferito con il comando

  sudo nano printers.list

• adesso vi basterà copiare ed incollare la seguente stringa

  deb https://sourceforge.net/projects/ufficiozero/files/uzl-deb/printers/ printers main contrib non-free

• salvare e chiudere il file ed effettuare un riavvio del vostro sistema per fare in modo che sia disponibile il vostro driver mediante Synaptic o altri software center.

Il vostro sistema è pronto ora ad utilizzare i driver che abbiamo reso disponibili non solo per gli utenti che usano Ufficio Zero Linux OS ma per tutti coloro che utilizzano una delle distro linux basate su Debian GNU/Linux.

For several days our users have known that, by keeping their system updated, another repository of ours has been automatically added which contains printer and multifunction drivers both on Debian based (deb packages) and on PCLinuxOS based (rpm packages).

This new additional repository contains drivers for various makes and models of inkjet, laser and multifunction printers, making it much easier to install and manage your printer.

Today we will talk about how to use the printers repository on your Debian based 32/64 bit systems and a short wizard that we will describe below:

• open a terminal and acquire the repository key with the command
  

  wget -O - https://uzl-deb.ufficiozero.org/repository/ufficiozero-key.gpg | apt-key add -

• otherwise if you previously installed curl on your system, you can use the command instead
  

  curl -sS https://uzl-deb.ufficiozero.org/repository/ufficiozero-key.gpg | gpg --dearmor | sudo tee /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/ufficiozero-keyring.gpg

• having done this, you have just imported the key for using the repository but now you need to add the repository for which move to the folder with the command
  

  cd /etc/apt/sources.list.d/

• and now create the file named printers.list with the command
  

  sudo touch printers.list

• and edit it by entering the information with nano, vi or your favorite editor with the command
  

  sudo nano printers.list

• now you just need to copy and paste the following string
  

  deb https://sourceforge.net/projects/ufficiozero/files/uzl-deb/printers/ printers main contrib non-free

• save and close the file and reboot your system to make your driver available through Synaptic or other software centers.

Your system is now ready to use the drivers that we have made available not only for users who use Ufficio Zero Linux OS but for all those who use one of the linux distros based on Debian GNU/Linux.

Gli amanti della privacy potranno utilizzare da oggi i servizi KSuite (KMail, KMeet, KDrive, SwissTransfer ecc.) di Infomaniak, Software House Svizzera che osserva le policy GDPR del Regolamento UE 2016/679.

I loro servizi possono essere usati in alternativa a quelli Google e possono essere installati mediante il Postinstall dalla Categoria Office.

Tale implementazione sarà disponibile da subito sulle release 10.x ed 11.x mentre sulle restanti verrà implementata nei prossimi giorni.

Siamo certi di aver fatto cosa gradita ai nostri utenti che vogliono poter avere un'alternativa valida ai software G.

Privacy lovers will be able to use the KSuite services (KMail, KMeet, KDrive, SwissTransfer etc.) from Infomaniak, a Swiss Software House that observes the GDPR policies of EU Regulation 2016/679, from today.

Their services can be used as an alternative to Google's and can be installed via Postinstall from the Office Category.

This implementation will be available immediately on releases 10.x and 11.x while on the remaining releases it will be implemented in the next few days.

We are sure that we have done something that is appreciated by our users who want to have a valid alternative to G software.

Tutti gli addetti ai lavori in ambito legale da oggi hanno un'alternativa per poter utilizzare il software SLpct su una delle nostre release di seguito elencate:

• Ufficio Zero Linux OS 11.x 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS 10.x 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS Tropea 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS Urbino 64bit

Ad installazione del sistema operativo terminata, aprire il menu principale e cercare ed eseguire il Postinstall, recarsi nella categoria Office e selezionare ed installare l'avviatore dell'installazione di SLpct.

Il nostro pacchetto chiederà come dipendenze il pacchetto CIE-MiddleWare e Java 8 jre o alternativi, installando prima questi.

Avviando poi dal menu l'installer installslpct si aprirà una schermata in cui verrà chiesta la password di root ed inoltre la scelta della versione java da utilizzare ed in questo caso si dovrà selezionare il numero corrispondente alla versione 8 di java. Infine la finestra si chiuderà creando il link all'applicazione SLpct sulla vostra scrivania.

Il resto è facile: ogni volta che si vuole usare SLpct vi basterà dare un doppio click sul link contrassegnato dall'apposita icona sul vostro desktop.

Non ci sono più scusanti per non utilizzare linux in ambito legale e negli uffici pubblici.

Once the operating system has been installed, open the main menu and search for and run Postinstall, go to the Office category and select and install the SLpct installation launcher.

Our package will ask for the CIE-MiddleWare package and Java 8 jre or alternatives as dependencies, installing these first.

Then starting the installslpct installer from the menu a screen will open asking for the root password and also the choice of java version to use and in this case you will have to select the number corresponding to java version 8.

Finally the window will close creating the link to the SLpct application on your desktop.

The rest is easy: every time you want to use SLpct, just double click on the link marked with the appropriate icon on your desktop.

There are no longer any excuses for not using Linux in the legal field and in public offices.
