In questo periodo di notevoli attacchi alle numerose istituzioni e realtà nazionali e non, abbiamo deciso di implementare sui nostri repository una soluzione firewall per sistemi desktop. Tale applicazione è disponibile sui repository delle release: Roma, Siena, Portofino, Vieste, Tropea ed Urbino.

Come installare il tool?

Semplice e rapido: vi basterà avviare il nostro postinstall presente nel menu delle applicazioni o cercandolo per digitazione della parola "postinstall", recarsi sulla macrocategoria "sicurezza" e selezionare i pacchetti desktop-firewall-it (per avere l'interfaccia grafica in lingua italiana) o desktop-firewall-en (interfaccia grafica in lingua inglese) e proseguire con l'installazione. Al termine dell'installazione vi basterà riavviare il vostro pc per avere OpenSnitch perfettamente funzionante.

At the end of the installation, You just need to restart your PC to have OpenSnitch perfectly functional.

La release 10 sta raggiungendo la fine del supporto a Luglio 2024, sebbene riceverà aggiornamenti di sicurezza per tutto il 2025.

A fronte di questo, stiamo già lavorando sulla release 10Plus che assicurerà l'estensione del supporto fino al 2027.

Appena avremo terminato di sviluppare la 10Plus, gli utenti che hanno installato la release 10 (32/64 bit) sui loro pc potranno utilizzare il tool di upgrade seguendo una piccola procedura che renderemo disponibile su YouTube & Odysee, in modo tale da avere altri 3 anni di aggiornamenti, seguendo alcuni semplici passaggi.

Release 10 will reach the end of support in July 2024, although security updates will ensure support until 2025.

In Light of this, we are already working on the 10Plus release which will ensure support extension until 2027.

Once we have finished developing 10Plus, users who have installed release 10 (32/64 bit) on their pcs will be able to use the upgrade tool by following a small procedure that we will make available on YouTube & Odysee, so that they will be able to take advantage of another 3 years of updates, following a few simple steps.

La release 10 Basic, disponibile a 32/64 bit, rappresenta la soluzione migliore per i nuovi utenti che vogliono utilizzare un ambiente desktop familiare, per l'aspetto grafico in stile windows.

Proprio a chi proviene dal sistema proprietario windows è destinata questa nostra versione.

Di seguito un breve video tutorial effettuato utilizzando la versione 10 Basic a 32bit su cui è stato installato Winehq (per installare software compatibili windows a 32bit) e il noto programma di grafica Gimp.

Inoltre abbiamo utilizzato il nostro Postinstall, utile per utilizzare software proposto e manutenuto mediante i nostri repository.

The 10 Basic release, available in 32/64 bit, represents the best solution for new users who want to use a familiar desktop environment, for the windows-style graphic appearance.

This version is intended for those coming from the proprietary windows system.

Below is a short video tutorial made using the 32bit 10 Basic version on which Winehq was installed (to install 32bit windows compatible software) and the well-known graphics program Gimp.

We also used our Postinstall, useful for using software proposed and maintained through our repositories.
