Diamo il benvenuto alla nuova release Lorena, che prenderà il posto dell'attuale Cagliari.

Lorena è basata su PCLinuxOS, è equipaggiata con DE Xfce4, Kernel 6.6.53, ha un look & feel simil Mac, ma è già orientata alla privacy grazie all'utilizzo di LibreWolf, alle applicazioni web e client del fediverso per la collaborazione con Devol e le istanze italiane mastodon.uno, pixelfed.uno, peertube.uno ed altri loro servizi tutti preinstallati.

Le sorprese non finiscono qui, abbiamo rilasciato un aggiornamento di sistema che preinstalla anche l'intera Suite del nostro sponsor Infomaniak: Kmail, Kmeet, Kcalendar, Kchat, Kdrive, Swisstransfer, Kchk per proporre alternative gratuite per uso privato al colosso Google.

Welcome to the new release Lorena, which will replace the current Cagliari.

Lorena is based on PCLinuxOS, is equipped with DE Xfce4, Kernel 6.6. 53, has a Mac-like look & feel, but is already privacy-oriented thanks to the use of LibreWolf, web applications and clients of the fediverse for collaboration with Devol and the Italian instances mastodon.uno, pixelfed.uno, peertube.uno and their other services all pre-installed.

The surprises do not end here, we have released a system update that also pre-installs the entire Suite of our sponsor Infomaniak: Kmail, Kmeet, Kcalendar, Kchat, Kdrive, Swisstransfer, Kchk to offer free alternatives for private use to the giant Google.

La release Cagliari, basata su PCLinuxOS, si rinnova e contiene i nuovi aggiornamenti di Synaptic, necessari per ricevere i continui update di sistema.

Questa nuova iso è stata creata per ovviare a problemi dovuti proprio al nuovo pacchetto di Synaptic.

Infatti gli utenti che utilizzano già la release Cagliari, sono pregati di effettuare gli aggiornamenti di sistema entro il 1 Agosto, per evitare che il sistema non accetti più tali aggiornamenti.

I nuovi utenti, invece, possono scaricare ed installare direttamente la nuova release Cagliari 4.2

Ricordiamo che il sistema di base è PCLinuxOS e pertanto il nostro team non è responsabile per modifiche sostanziali al sistema base che resta gestito dalla comunità PCLinuxOS.

The Cagliari release, based on PCLinuxOS, is renewed and contains the new Synaptic updates, necessary to receive continuous system updates.

This new iso was created to overcome problems due to the new Synaptic package.

In fact, users who already use the Cagliari release are requested to carry out system updates by August 1st, to avoid that the system no longer accepts these updates.

New users, on the other hand, can directly download and install the new Cagliari 4.2 release

We remind you that the base system is PCLinuxOS and therefore our team is not responsible for substantial changes to the base system which remains managed by the PCLinuxOS community.

Cosa c'è di nuovo rispetto alla precedente versione?

• abbiamo attivato repository remoti globali impostando quello di Garr come predefinito
• Il post-install (universale per Siena, Roma, Vieste e Tropea) è stato aggiornato ed abbiamo aggiunto il software GanntProject nella categoria Ufficio
• l'installer calamares è stato ottimizzato a livello di funzionamento

In fase di avvio del sistema live accedere con user: live e password: evolution ed in seguito, per avviare l'installazione utilizzare la password: evolution

Raccomandiamo di aggiornare sempre il sistema per godere di un prodotto perfettamente funzionante.

What's new compared to the previous version?

• We enabled global remote repositories by setting Garr's as the default
• The post-install (universal for Siena, Rome, Vieste and Tropea) has been updated and we have added the GanntProject software in the Office category
• Calamares installer has been optimized in terms of operation
