Ufficio Zero Linux OS compie 4 anni
il 15 Aprile 2020 rivedeva la luce il progetto made in Italy

Ogni anno il team ricorda i vari compleanni del progetto per una sorta di memoria da come e dove sono partiti per ricordare quante migliorie, piccole e grandi, si sono susseguite dal 15 Aprile 2020.
Ad oggi il progetto vanta alcune novità che vedono la luce sulle release 10.x ed 11.x e che sono poi state implementate anche sulle altre release attive e supportate, quali: Tropea, Cagliari, Urbino e Portofino.
Come ogni anno, è fondamentale per il team non solo celebrare ogni traguardo, più o meno significativo, ma anche porsi obiettivi a medio e lungo termine, per assicurare ai nostri utenti: semplicità di utilizzo, tranquillità e il miglior supporto che è possibile dare loro, poichè vivendo in una realtà sempre più frenetica, i nostri utenti devono poter sapere che installando una delle nostre release non avranno mai sorprese spiacevoli.
Questo, il primo obiettivo del progetto Ufficio Zero Linux OS.
Ringraziamo quindi il nostro team: Julian Del Vecchio, Riccardo Leguti ed Adriano Morselli, i nostri partner e tutti coloro che nel loro piccolo contribuiscono ed hanno contribuito a dare vita, cambiamento dopo cambiamento, al progetto.

Every year the team remembers the various birthdays of the project for a sort of memory of how and where they started to remember how many improvements, small and large, have occurred since April 15, 2020.
To date, the project boasts some innovations which saw the light of day on the 10.x and 11.x releases and which were then also implemented on the other active and supported releases, such as: Tropea, Cagliari, Urbino and Portofino.
Like every year, it is essential for the team not only to celebrate each milestone, more or less significant, but also to set medium and long-term objectives, to ensure our users: ease of use, peace of mind and the best support that it is possible to give them , because living in an increasingly frenetic reality, our users must be able to know that by installing one of our releases they will never have unpleasant surprises.
This is the first objective of the Ufficio Zero Linux OS project.
We therefore thank our team: Julian Del Vecchio, Riccardo Leguti and Adriano Morselli, our partners and all those who in their small way contribute and have contributed to giving life, change after change, to the project.

Public Money, Public Code!
Sei un contribuente della zona Euro e vuoi che il denaro pubblico sia ben investito per i software della Pubblica Amministrazione?
La Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) ed altre organizzazioni stanno promuovendo questa campagna/petizione per rendere il codice degli applicativi acquistati dalle Pubbliche Amministrazioni libero e con licenze aperte per poter essere all'occorrenza corretto, implementato e riusato da chiunque volesse.
Firma anche tu la petizione, a te non costa nulla, ma puoi partecipare con un piccolo gesto e sensibilizzare anche altri tuoi conoscenti, amici, collaboratori e colleghi verso un futuro molto più sostenibile e sicuro.

The Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE) and other organizations are promoting this campaign/petition to make the code of applications purchased by Public Administrations free and with open licenses so that it can be corrected, implemented and reused by anyone who wants.
Sign the petition too, it won't cost you anything, but you can participate with a small gesture and also raise awareness among other acquaintances, friends, collaborators and colleagues towards a much more sustainable and safe future.

Lorenzo DM presente al Merge 2025
Lorenzo De Marco, alias Lorenzo DM, noto divulgatore del software libero ed open source, sarà presente al Merge 2025 a Verona, il 21 Giugno, in Via Lungadige Galtarossa 21, per presentare l'Associazione di Promozione Sociale Boost Media APS.
Un talk utile, il suo, per mostrare che l'associazione è nata con lo scopo di:
- promuovere e sostenere il progetto Ufficio Zero Linux OS;
- promuovere e sponsorizzare progetti open source italiani ed europei sulle release Ufficio Zero;
- ridurre lo smaltimento di vecchio hardware, obsoleto per i nuovi sistemi operativi;
- promuovere Ufficio Zero EDU nelle scuole italiane;
- promuovere l'open source anche nella PA e nelle imprese;
Il talk si terrà alle ore 12.30 circa ma sarà disponibile tutta la giornata.

Il 12 Febbraio 2025 elimineremo la nostra presenza su Meta
Dopo l'annuncio dell'abbandono del social X / Twitter diamo l'annuncio dell'abbandono delle piattaforme Meta e quindi dei nostri account Facebook ed Instagram.
Siamo desolati di ciò ma non possiamo accettare la decisione di Meta di bloccare i post contenenti link a social alternativi quali Mastodon ed altri.
Questo, un passo necessario, poichè non vogliamo che i nostri post siano censurati per una motivazione di sorta che Meta non riesce a gestire diversamente.
Crediamo fermamente nella comunicazione e nella libertà di espressione, pertanto il 12 Febbraio in un colpo solo elimineremo 3 nostri profili ed account su X, Facebook ed Instagram in favore di Mastodon.uno e Pixelfed.uno gestiti dagli attivisti italiani Devol e facenti parte del Fediverso.
After the announcement of the abandonment of the social X / Twitter we announce the abandonment of the Meta platforms and therefore of our Facebook and Instagram accounts.
We are sorry for this but we cannot accept Meta's decision to block posts containing links to alternative social networks such as Mastodon and others.
This is a necessary step because we do not want our posts to be censored for any reason that Meta cannot handle otherwise.
We firmly believe in communication and freedom of expression, therefore on February 12th in one fell swoop we will eliminate 3 of our profiles and accounts on X, Facebook and Instagram in favor of Mastodon.uno and Pixelfed.uno managed by the Italian activists Devol and part of the Fediverso.
