I dispositivi Fido2 Yubico possono essere usati sulle nostre release

Abbiamo rilasciato un pacchetto di transizione visiva per le release 10 Plus, 11 e per la nuova Lorena che vedrà la luce molto presto per modificare l'aspetto di Libre Office Writer in stile Office.

Questo, un altro piccolo passaggio fondamentale per chi volesse usare le nostre release per la transizione da sistemi operativi proprietari ai nostri Open Source.

Se interessati, vi basterà installare il pacchetto mediante Synaptic ricercandolo con il nome lo-theme-ms o in alternativa tramite terminale con i comandi di seguito:

sudo nala install lo-theme-ms oppure sudo apt-get install lo-theme-ms

che installerà l'installer lothemems che dovrà essere eseguita ed all'avvio di LibreOffice Writer potrete godere di un'esperienza visiva simile a Word.

 Il pacchetto quindi è opzionale e può essere liberamente installato dai nostri utenti che hanno più familiarità con Word.

We have released a visual transition package for the 10 Plus, 11 and the new Lorena releases that will be released very soon to change the look of Libre Office Writer in Office style.

This is another small fundamental step for those who want to use our releases for the transition from proprietary operating systems to our Open Source.

If interested, you can simply install the package via Synaptic by searching for it with the name lo-theme-ms or alternatively via terminal with the following commands:

sudo nala install lo-theme-ms or sudo apt-get install lo-theme-ms

which will install the lothemems installer which will need to be run and when you start LibreOffice Writer you will be able to enjoy a visual experience similar to Word.

The package is therefore optional and can be freely installed by our users who are more familiar with Word.

Buone notizie per i nostri utenti: è disponibile il nuovo strumento per aggiornare la versione Tropea dalla 3.1 alla versione 3.2 di cui stiamo creando la nuova iso.

La versione Tropea 3.2 avrà i repository di base Linux Mint Uma oltre ai nostri in modo da seguirne lo stato di avanzamento in parallelo con il nostro progetto.

Gli utenti che dispongono delle versioni 3.1 o 3.1.1 possono utilizzare il gestore dei pacchetti Synaptic e ricercare il pacchetto "upgradeufficiozero", installarlo ed avviare il tool dal sottomenu Strumenti nel menu principale. Immettendo la password di root il sistema aggiornerà i repository di base insieme ad alcuni pacchetti.

Assicuratevi di avere i repository di base Mint Ulyssa prima di eseguire tale tool, poichè per le versioni Tropea 3.0 è necessario prima scaricare il precedente tool di upgrade da questo link, estrarlo ed installarlo con gdebi poichè il salto di versione dalla Ulyana a Uma non è contemplato ma se si parte dalla versione Tropea 3.0 bisogna eseguire il primo upgrade (ad Ulyssa) per poi eseguire il successivo (ad Uma).

Good news for our users: the new tool to upgrade Tropea version from 3.1 to version 3.2 of which we are creating the new iso, is available.

Tropea 3.2 version will have the basic Linux Mint Uma repositories in addition to ours in order to follow their progress in parallel with our project.

Users who have versions 3.1 or 3.1.1 can use the Synaptic package manager and search for the "upgradeufficiozero" package, install it and start the tool from the Tools submenu in the main menu. By entering the root password the system will update the base repositories along with some packages.

Make sure you have the basic Mint Ulyssa repositories before running this tool, as for Tropea 3.0 versions you must first download the previous upgrade tool from this link, extract it and install it with gdebi as the jump from Ulyana to Uma is not contemplated but if you start from the Tropea 3.0 version you have to perform the first upgrade (to Ulyssa) and then perform the next one (to Uma).

Gli utilizzatori della versione 10 Basic (32/64 bit) sanno che entro pochi giorni terminerà il supporto al loro sistema seppur gli aggiornamenti di sicurezza sono garantiti fino a Dicembre 2025.

Proprio a tal proposito, stiamo lavorando alla release 10 Plus ma chi usa già la versione 10 Basic può effettuare l'upgrade alla 10 Plus, sempre dopo aver effettuato una copia di backup dei dati personali.

Users of the 10 Basic version (32/64 bit) know that within a few days the support for their system will end even though security updates are guaranteed until December 2025.
