Tropea 3.1 upgrade

Buone notizie per i nostri utenti: è disponibile il nuovo strumento per aggiornare la versione Tropea dalla 3.1 alla versione 3.2 di cui stiamo creando la nuova iso.

La versione Tropea 3.2 avrà i repository di base Linux Mint Uma oltre ai nostri in modo da seguirne lo stato di avanzamento in parallelo con il nostro progetto.

Gli utenti che dispongono delle versioni 3.1 o 3.1.1 possono utilizzare il gestore dei pacchetti Synaptic e ricercare il pacchetto "upgradeufficiozero", installarlo ed avviare il tool dal sottomenu Strumenti nel menu principale. Immettendo la password di root il sistema aggiornerà i repository di base insieme ad alcuni pacchetti.

Assicuratevi di avere i repository di base Mint Ulyssa prima di eseguire tale tool, poichè per le versioni Tropea 3.0 è necessario prima scaricare il precedente tool di upgrade da questo link, estrarlo ed installarlo con gdebi poichè il salto di versione dalla Ulyana a Uma non è contemplato ma se si parte dalla versione Tropea 3.0 bisogna eseguire il primo upgrade (ad Ulyssa) per poi eseguire il successivo (ad Uma).

Good news for our users: the new tool to upgrade Tropea version from 3.1 to version 3.2 of which we are creating the new iso, is available.

Tropea 3.2 version will have the basic Linux Mint Uma repositories in addition to ours in order to follow their progress in parallel with our project.

Users who have versions 3.1 or 3.1.1 can use the Synaptic package manager and search for the "upgradeufficiozero" package, install it and start the tool from the Tools submenu in the main menu. By entering the root password the system will update the base repositories along with some packages.

Make sure you have the basic Mint Ulyssa repositories before running this tool, as for Tropea 3.0 versions you must first download the previous upgrade tool from this link, extract it and install it with gdebi as the jump from Ulyana to Uma is not contemplated but if you start from the Tropea 3.0 version you have to perform the first upgrade (to Ulyssa) and then perform the next one (to Uma).

Ogni anno il team ricorda i vari compleanni del progetto per una sorta di memoria da come e dove sono partiti per ricordare quante migliorie, piccole e grandi, si sono susseguite dal 15 Aprile 2020.

Ad oggi il progetto vanta alcune novità che vedono la luce sulle release 10.x ed 11.x e che sono poi state implementate anche sulle altre release attive e supportate, quali: Tropea, Cagliari, Urbino e Portofino.

Come ogni anno, è fondamentale per il team non solo celebrare ogni traguardo, più o meno significativo, ma anche porsi obiettivi a medio e lungo termine, per assicurare ai nostri utenti: semplicità di utilizzo, tranquillità e il miglior supporto che è possibile dare loro, poichè vivendo in una realtà sempre più frenetica, i nostri utenti devono poter sapere che installando una delle nostre release non avranno mai sorprese spiacevoli.

Questo, il primo obiettivo del progetto Ufficio Zero Linux OS.

Every year the team remembers the various birthdays of the project for a sort of memory of how and where they started to remember how many improvements, small and large, have occurred since April 15, 2020.

To date, the project boasts some innovations which saw the light of day on the 10.x and 11.x releases and which were then also implemented on the other active and supported releases, such as: Tropea, Cagliari, Urbino and Portofino.

Like every year, it is essential for the team not only to celebrate each milestone, more or less significant, but also to set medium and long-term objectives, to ensure our users: ease of use, peace of mind and the best support that it is possible to give them , because living in an increasingly frenetic reality, our users must be able to know that by installing one of our releases they will never have unpleasant surprises.

This is the first objective of the Ufficio Zero Linux OS project.

Tutti gli addetti ai lavori in ambito legale da oggi hanno un'alternativa per poter utilizzare il software SLpct su una delle nostre release di seguito elencate:

• Ufficio Zero Linux OS 11.x 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS 10.x 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS Tropea 64bit
• Ufficio Zero Linux OS Urbino 64bit

Ad installazione del sistema operativo terminata, aprire il menu principale e cercare ed eseguire il Postinstall, recarsi nella categoria Office e selezionare ed installare l'avviatore dell'installazione di SLpct.

Il nostro pacchetto chiederà come dipendenze il pacchetto CIE-MiddleWare e Java 8 jre o alternativi, installando prima questi.

Avviando poi dal menu l'installer installslpct si aprirà una schermata in cui verrà chiesta la password di root ed inoltre la scelta della versione java da utilizzare ed in questo caso si dovrà selezionare il numero corrispondente alla versione 8 di java. Infine la finestra si chiuderà creando il link all'applicazione SLpct sulla vostra scrivania.

Il resto è facile: ogni volta che si vuole usare SLpct vi basterà dare un doppio click sul link contrassegnato dall'apposita icona sul vostro desktop.

Non ci sono più scusanti per non utilizzare linux in ambito legale e negli uffici pubblici.

Once the operating system has been installed, open the main menu and search for and run Postinstall, go to the Office category and select and install the SLpct installation launcher.

Our package will ask for the CIE-MiddleWare package and Java 8 jre or alternatives as dependencies, installing these first.

Then starting the installslpct installer from the menu a screen will open asking for the root password and also the choice of java version to use and in this case you will have to select the number corresponding to java version 8.

Finally the window will close creating the link to the SLpct application on your desktop.

The rest is easy: every time you want to use SLpct, just double click on the link marked with the appropriate icon on your desktop.

There are no longer any excuses for not using Linux in the legal field and in public offices.
